CHRISTMAS fun was served up in abundance at the weekend when Cardenden's Village Inn threw its annual Christmas party.
A total of 51 children – as well as their accompanying adults – enjoyed free festive entertainment as well a visit from Santa.
Village Inn owner Ann Haxton said a great time was had by all.
"We do it every year and it was brilliant," she said. "This year, we had a fantastic donation from a wee group up the road from us, the Wednesday Ladies Bingo Group which has now stopped, so that meant all the kids got in for free."
A DJ provided disco and games and the children were provided with refreshments and had the chance to dance and play games.
A reindeer character, an elf, snowman and Grinch all came along to join in the fun which was capped off at the end with a visit from Santa.
"It was brilliant, the kids were hyper," added Ann. "Santa came in at the end and they would melt your heart with the wee faces. They were fabulous.
"They were all happy and it was great because the mum and dads were all involved too – they got up to do the dancing too."
