RAIL Services in Central Fife faced some disruption after a lorry hit a bridge near Lochgelly Train Station.
Network Rail confirmed on Friday that services between Edinburgh and Glenrothes had been affected after the vehicle got stuck under a tunnel close to the railway station at around 3pm.
Several hours later, posting on Twitter/X, they confirmed the route had reopened. They stated: "The bridge has now been inspected and the line can safely reopen.
