A LANE closure on the A92 between Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy will take place next week while an inspection of Cardenden Bridge takes place.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and the public, the inspections will be carried out using lane closures on one carriageway of the A92 overnight on Tuesday, December 12, followed by the opposite direction on Wednesday, December 13, between 7.30 pm and 6.30 am.
There will also be a requirement to implement occasional night time convoy traffic management on each carriageway in order for essential inspection machinery to be deployed during the investigations.
The inspections, which will be carried out by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland, are required to understand the current condition of A92 70 Cardenden Bridge and are scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Thursday, December 14.
All works are weather-dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
