Remembrance Day services will be held across Fife this November.
Ballingry's service will take place on Saturday, November 11, at 11am at Ballingry Cemetery. As Remembrance Day falls on a Saturday this year the service does not have the help of the primary school pupils so everyone is welcome to bring their children or grandchildren along with them.
During the Poppy Laying Service a poppy cross will be laid on all of the war graves.
The Remembrance Service in Lochore will take place at Lochore Bowling Club on Sunday, November 12, at 2pm but anyone who wishes to lay a poppy wreath should be at the bowling club for 1.40pm. After the service there will be a procession to the War Memorial in Lochleven Road where the poppy wreaths will be laid.
Cardenden Events Committee are holding a Remembrance Day parade on Sunday, November 12.
The parade will start at the Railway Tavern in Cardenden Road at 10.40am and will be led by a piper to the War Memorial at Woodend Road. The service will take place at 11am, after the wreaths have been laid the service will return to the Tavern for free soup and sandwiches.
Cardenden Events Committee’s, Alex Burns MBE, said: “Any local organisation who may wish to lay a wreath at the memorial is asked to forward their names to Bowhill Centre on 01592 583471. It is important for them to note that those who may wish to purchase a wreath must forward remuneration before it can be ordered.”
Lochgelly will be holding a Remembrance Sunday parade which will gather at Landale Street at around 10.15am and will leave at around 10.30am. The service will be multi-denominational. Afterwards there will be refreshments at the Lodge Minto 385 that everyone is welcome to attend.
Anyone who has ordered a wreath for the Lochgelly parade can pick them up from the Minto lounge from 9am onwards on the day of the parade.
Lumphinnans service will begin at 10.45am on Sunday at the war memorial.
The Remembrance Sunday service and laying of wreaths in Cowdenbeath will begin at the World War One memorial at 1.30pm. There will also be a service at 2.30pm at Town House.
Kelty Community Council are hosting the annual remembrance service on Sunday, November 12. Participants will gather at the ex-servicemen's club on Cocklaw Street at 10.20am and proceed to the war memorial on Station Road for the service.
Crossgates Community Council will lays wreaths at Mossgreen Cemetery and then Crossgates Institute, then Hill of Beath on Remembrance Sunday. These services will be attended by British Legion and Masonic Lodge members.
