THE A909 overbridge in Cowdenbeath will be resurfaced next month.
The road, which had previously been slammed as "borderline dangerous" by Councillor Darren Watt, has been scheduled to be fully resurfaced overnight on Saturday, November 18, and Sunday, November 19.
Cllr Watt said: "After months of toing and froing between Fife Council and AMEY, I am delighted to say the bridge on the A909, going over the A92, will be fully resurfaced on the weekend of 18/19 November overnight."
Should there be any delays to the resurfacing due to weather, a second date the following weekend has been set.
Cllr Watt continued: "This will be widely welcomed by local people, commuters, and visitors as this saga has gone on too long. Upon completion of the resurfacing works, AMEY will follow up and reinstate the flexible bridge joints."
The impact on local traffic is expected to be minimal due to the dates and time of the work.
