A DRIVER had to be checked over by medics after a car fire in Central Fife.
The incident resulted in early morning disruption on the A92 between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.
Emergency services raced to the scene on the eastbound carriageway shortly before 6.30am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.25am on Thursday, 26 October, 2023, police were called to a report of a one car road crash on the A92 eastbound between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.
“Emergency services attended and the vehicle was found to be on fire."
One lane of the route was closed while crews dealt with the incident and Police confirmed a male driver was checked over by paramedics.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: “We were alerted at 6.34am on Thursday, 26 October to reports of a vehicle on fire on A92 between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the area where crews extinguished the fire.
“No injuries were reported, and firefighters left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
