A Cowdenbeath funeral directors has been voted the best in Fife for the third time in a row.
Colin Sneddon Funeral Directors, based on Station Road in Cowdenbeath, won the Funeral Directors of the year for Fife. The company is the first to achieve this hat trick of wins.
As previously reported, the funeral company won the same award in 2021 and 2022.
Speaking to The Times, Colin said: “I am very proud of the company and the team for achieving this award yet again, three years in a row.”
When asked what made his business stand out from the rest, Colin said: “I think it's because we treat each other like family and I think people coming in to see us are seeing how we interact with each other.
"We treat the families the same way, and the fact that we do a lot for charity as well, we are the main sponsor for the Knights Templar charity in Cowdenbeath.”
The company also have a therapet, a dog named Maggie, who sits with families when they come in to the office.
“Maggie is a bit of a character," said Colin. "People come in to see her not to see us. They bring her treats and everything.
“I think it sort of takes the families’ mind off what they are here for. She's absolutely brilliant.”
Colin greatly enjoys his work and said: "Myself and my staff, we do really enjoy it. It’s not a job to us. It’s a privilege to be offering this kind of service, the fact that we can help them in that kind of situation.”
Colin wants to thank everybody who voted for the business to win the award.
He added: “Just a huge thank you to everybody who did vote for us.”
