A man and a woman appeared in court this afternoon (Wednesday, October 25) charged with wilful fire-raising and attempted murder after a blaze at a four-storey block of flats in Lochgelly.
Seven fire engines and two height vehicles tackled the fire which broke out at the flats in Francis Street at around 7pm on Monday evening.
Chloe Arnott (30) and Jamie Morrison (33), both of Glenrothes, appeared in private on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
They both face the same charges. These are allegations of threatening or abusive behaviour, theft, wilful fire raising to the danger of life and attempted murder.
They made no plea, were committed for further examination and both were remanded in custody until their next court appearance within the next eight days.
