A Ballingry man, who became enraged when he found out his ex-partner was now in another relationship, has been fined.
His reaction resulted in 33-year-old Liam McGregor, of Elders Knowe, appearing in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on May 29 at an address in Oakley, he shouted, swore, made derogatory comments and threats towards a man.
Depute fiscal Catherine Stevenson said McGregor had been speaking to his former partner and asked her if she still loved him.
When she told him that she had been seeing other people, he became “irate”.
He called her a “dirty f****** slag” and a “stop-out”.
Defence solicitor Alan Davie said: “He had hoped there could be a reconciliation but clearly that was not her view. He reacted badly when she told him how quickly she had moved on.”
The court was previously told the couple were having a trial separation and McGregor found out the woman was back in a relationship with her ‘ex’.
Sheriff Linday Foulis fined McGregor £270.
