COWDENBEATH MSP Annabelle Ewing got festive this week as she made a visit to the Royal Mail's Cowdenbeath delivery office.
Ms Ewing met staff at the depot and heard how they were already getting organised for the festive season.
“The Christmas period may seem a long way off for most of us – particularly as temperatures are still hitting highs normally associated with midsummer – but the Royal Mail’s delivery staff are already gearing up for what is always far and away their busiest time of the year," she said.
“It is always fascinating to visit a Royal Mail delivery office and see the processes and efforts that are involved in ensuring that everyone gets their mail delivered promptly, efficiently and accurately.
“Today was no exception and it was a real pleasure to meet with Derek McAughey, the Customer Operations Manager as well as other team members, including Kevin Lockley and new recruit to the Royal Mail, Diane Yarwood.
“The Royal Mail are certainly planning ahead and, if we want to make sure that all our Christmas mail reaches its intended destination on time, we should too.”
