THE chief will be sending sunshine on Lochgelly this October as Nardone's Academy performs an iconic Scottish musical.
Liam Nardone and his Academy of Performing Arts will bring Sunshine on Leith to the Lochgelly Centre from October 4 to 7.
He told the Times: "This is the first time that Sunshine on Leith has been performed in Lochgelly.
"We thought folk will want to come and see it and get involved with it being our first adult show and it's Sunshine on Leith.
"It's a Scottish show with all the Proclaimers songs. The finale of the show is 500 Miles and I'm sure the majority, if not all, of the audience will know the songs."
The cast of 30, which includes parents and their children, have been working hard at rehearsals in the lead-up to the performances.
With a mix of youths, who perform regularly, and adults, who have just joined up, there's been a range of emotions amongst the cast. The younger cast members have been excited to get back on the stage and the older performers have been feeling the nerves!
Liam continued: "It's just been a really nice environment to be a part of. For those people who haven't done it before, they seem to be really enjoying it and I think it's contagious now!
"In terms of Sunshine on Leith, I think it is going to be really good and because it's a Scottish show, I think everybody is just loving it!"
Nardone's Academy will be putting on five shows. Tickets for the show are on sale now and can be purchased through the OnFife Box Office by calling 01592 583303 or through the Nardone’s Academy Box Office by calling 01592 377042.
