A COST of living clinic is to be held in Cardenden next week.
Local SNP MP Peter Grant is hosting a number across his constituency in the next few weeks.
The Glenrothes MP will be joined by a number of local organisations who can provide advice and support on a range of issues including welfare benefits, housing, debt management and isolation.
As well as advice and information being provided by organisations such as Citizen’s Advice, Social Security Scotland, Frontline Fife and Fife Carer’s Centre, the MP has arranged for local groups providing services for people struggling to meet costs to attend, such as Castle Furniture Project and Levenmouth Children’s Clothing Bank.
There will be a clinic at the Corrie Centre in Cardenden on Friday, August 25, between 10.30 and 11.30am.
Anyone can drop in on the day, but if you want to guarantee an appointment this can be booked in advance by contacting his office on 01592 759 335.
Grant commented: “I know that thousands of families across my constituency are finding it harder than ever to cope with the rising cost of living due to the increased costs of food, electricity, gas, mortgage payments and many other essentials.
“As well as challenging the UK Government to take action to end this crisis and support people struggling to afford the cost of living, it is my job as an MP to help my constituents however I can and I hope these clinics will be of some assistance.
“These special themed clinics are one-stop-shops for people struggling with the cost of living, with the chance to meet with multiple organisations at once and receive face-to-face advice, information and support.”
