A 63-year-old woman has admitted neglecting a young child in Crossgates.

Julie McNee, of High Cleuch, Glen Devon, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

She admitted that on April 16 last year at Blackhill Brae, Crossgates, being responsible for a child, then aged three, she neglected, abandoned and exposed him to harm by becoming intoxicated.

McNee failed to supervise him whereby she did not know where he was and he was exposed to the risk of falling and becoming trapped under furniture.

Sheriff Francis Gill deferred sentence until September 20 for a GP’s report on McNee’s health.
