A TEENAGE girl was taken to hospital after being struck by a car while crossing a major West Fife road.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the A92 between Dunfermline and Crossgates at 5.35pm on Sunday, July 9.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital as a precaution and the driver of the car was not injured.
The road was closed for nearly one hour following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.35 pm on Sunday, 9 July 2023, police attended a road crash on the A92, between Crossgates Roundabout and Halbeath Interchange, between Dunfermline and Crossgates.
"A teenage girl pedestrian was struck by a car whilst crossing the road.
"She was taken to the local hospital as a precaution.
"The driver of the car was not injured.
"The road re-opened around 6.30 pm.
"No further police action."
