A Lochore woman, who drove when under the influence of drugs, has been banned from the roads.
Kimberley Aktar, 33, of Rosewell Crescent, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on March 19 in Lochleven Road, Lochore, she took and drove away a car without the consent of the owner.
She also admitted that in Lochleven Road, she was in charge of a car when unfit to drive through drink or drugs.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison said: “She appears to be genuinely remorseful and she’s not a prolific offender.
“She has difficulty in explaining this stupid course of behaviour. She was under the influence of Valium tablets.”
Sheriff Francis Gill told Aktar she had put other road users in danger.
He imposed a community payback order with 12 months of supervision and banned her from driving for nine months.
