GLENCRAIG endured a night of hell as youths tormented residents and allegedly assaulted police officers.
Enraged local councillor Lea McLelland has reported that on Sunday evening youngsters broke into buildings, set a fire in the middle of a road, and abused homeowners trying to protect their properties.
She also alleged that the group "fought with and assaulted police officers".
Cllr McLelland, who represents the Lochgelly, Cardenden and Benarty ward, has made a plea to parents and guardians to keep track of their children and know where they are at night.
She said: "If your teenagers were out last night, do you know where they were and what they were doing?
"If not, and they came home smelling of alcohol and smoke, then here is where they were!
"This is taken in Glencraig last night at the rear of properties where a large group of youths broke into buildings, damaged property, set a fire in the middle of the road, abused people trying to protect their property and fought with and assaulted police officers.
"If you want your child to have a criminal record before they leave the school allow this to keep going on!"
She claimed that the young people responsible are local to the area, and their behaviour is "not acceptable and will not be tolerated".
