AN ELDERLY Ballingry couple, were being terrorised by hooligans at their home. One night, when Mrs Watson went out to get coal, she was struck on the hand by a stone. Even a trip wire has been put across the entrance to their home.

THE Civil Servants’ one day strike struck Cowdenbeath, when the Department of Health and Social Services offices, in Union Street, were closed in protest over a wage freeze.

THE end of hutted accommodation at Cowdenbeath’s Beath High School, could be in sight when Fife Education Committee agreed a possible extension to and refurbishment of the building, in Foulford Road.
CONCERNED about traffic jams at bus stops in Main Street, Crosshill, councillor Joe Paterson contacted Fife Council roads department on the issue.
A HOUSE in Woodend Place, Cowdenbeath, was broken-into and jewellery stolen.
