FIREFIGHTERS spent around three hours tackling a fire at Lochore Meadows last night (Sunday).
One appliance raced to the Meedies after receiving a call about a blaze at 8.30pm.
The crew did not leave until 11.25pm after extinguishing the fire.
The Times asked whether a cause was known, but the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were unable to provide any further information.
A spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.30pm on Sunday, August 14 to reports of a fire in the open at Lochore Meadows Country Park, Fife.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance and firefighters extinguished the fire and left the scene at 11.25pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
