THE BIGGEST gala in Lochgelly history is just days away.
This Sunday's eagerly-anticipated event is edging ever closer and the committee are excited for the big day.
"We are very excited about this year's gala, and hopefully, all our hard work we've done will show on the day," a committee spokesperson said.
"The generosity of the public and businesses near and beyond have been overwhelming, and we are extremely grateful for every donation received.
"We hope the sun shines, and everyone joins us for hopefully, our biggest gala ever."
The committee are looking for volunteers to help on the day, and any help from 7am at the Public Park would be appreciated.
Anyone willing to help can contact the Lochgelly Gala Community page on Facebook to register an interest.
Gala box tickets and wristbands can be bought from the Coop, Special Occasions (Bank Street), Kooners (Auchterderran Road), and RS McColls on Lumphinnans Road.
Tickets are priced at £1.50 and wristbands are priced £7.00. On the day of the gala, gala boxes must be collected before 1.30pm.
The parade will leave the West End Park on Paul Street at 11am sharply with parade assembling from 10.30am.
Best float competition will be judged at West End Park by the dignitaries prior to the parade leaving at 11am, with the best float trophy being presented after the official opening of the gala.
Children's fancy dress competition will be judged at the main stage at the Public Park after the official opening of the gala at approximately 12.15pm.
There are two age categories: Age 6 and under, and Age 7+.
The spokesperson added: "We have lots going on at the park: inflatable fun, mechanical rides (wristband required), laser tag, pony rides, petting zoo, interactive falconry, stalls, tombola, kids races, local group performances, live music and much more!"
