A teenager was caught driving at 123mph on the A92 last night (Wednesday).
The 17-year-old was clocked at 53mph over the legal speed limit in his Volkswagen Golf.
When stopped by police on the A92, east of Lochgelly, he told officers he was just "cruising".
He now faces the possibility of losing his licence and having to resit his driving test.
Road Policing Scotland shared the incident on Twitter with the hashtag #SlowDownSaveLives.
