A PUPPY was found in Cowdenbeath in "very poor body condition".
The Scottish SPCA has appealed for information after the male pup - believed to be only around five months old - was discovered straying near Natal Place on the night of March 7.
Scottish SPCA inspector Nicola Liddell, said: “The dog was a male, tri-colour beagle cross Jack Russell terrier type pup. We estimate him to only be around five months old.
“He was found at approximately 8pm on the evening of Monday, March 7, near Natal Place.
“He is in very poor body condition. His coat was very dirty with a strong, unpleasant aroma emanating from him even after he had been bathed.
“We’re keen to find out how the dog came to be in the area in such a bad state.
“If anyone recognises this puppy or has any information on this incident they can contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
