MILITARY planes will be seen flying low over Fife this week as part of a multinational training exercise.

Exercise Joint Warrior is the biggest of its kind in Europe and brings together the Navy, Air Force and Army alongside forces from other countries.

It takes place twice a year and runs through various scenarios including territory disputes and terrorist activity.

Strike Warrior, which is running as part of Joint Warrior, has been taking place on Scotland’s north-west coasts since May 8.

The UK, US, Denmark, France, Germany, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland and Australia are taking part.

The Ministry of Defence has now issued low flying warnings for day and night flights between May 17 and 21.
