A HOUSING association has confirmed that it is in talks with the owners of the former Fab-tek building.
The issue was raised at the Cowdenbeath Area Committee on Wednesday afternoon, where a report showed that funding was secured to “remediate” the site.
Funding worth £465k has been secured for the Lochgelly site, and Kingdom Housing Association has been leading discussions on site acquisition with a view to building affordable housing.
A spokesperson for Kingdom Housing Association said: “"Kingdom Housing Association is in discussion with the current owners and are bound by commercial confidentiality at this stage.
“If matters progress we will be happy to share details of any proposals as they are developed."
