THE take-away venture being carried out weekly by the Oor Wee Cafe team at Kelty Community Centre is helping a number of local families at this difficult time.
The community cafe has been running the takeaway system since shortly after Lockdown started and it has been getting tremendous donations from the local community.
The team posted on the Kelty Community Council Facebook page: "We served over 75 customers on Tuesday and they all went home happy with their steak pie, pasta, quiche, soup groceries etc etc the list just goes on.
"We had an amazing donation from Virgin Media who very kindly donated us two big bags of toiletries and four boxes of food containers. Huge thanks to Gemma and Co for such an amazing donation, this will really help us out, thank you #virginmedia.
"The kids collected their prizes for the colouring-in competition and were very happy with them.
"Beath High School have dropped in some jotters for anyone who attends there and is needing them. Just ask when you are in next and we will give you some.
"Many thanks again to all those of you who dropped in food, toiletries etc to us again today. You do make a difference and every item is appreciated".
The Oor Wee Cafe Take-away Lunches session will be held tomorrow at mid-day at the community centre in Main Street.
