THE WELL launch in Cowdenbeath takes place this Tuesday at 11am at the Green Square on High Street.

Fife Health and Social Care Partnership is behind the initiative to give people more information about the important services that are available to the public.

The Health and Social Care Partnership's Hazel Williamson said: "How we access and deliver health and social care services in Fife is changing. "We’re trying to make it easier for communities to find out about health, social care and housing information and the support available in our communities.

"We have Wells, which are information points, in all our localities and Cowdenbeath is the latest edition.

"To celebrate our launch, we’re hoping the people of Cowdenbeath will join us to hear about the support available and how we can help. "Health and Social Care staff and representatives from local organisations will be on hand to chat with local people on what matters to them and how we can help".

'The Well’ will have a variety of information stands with community representatives, staff from the voluntary sector and others from across health and social care who are ready to chat about whatever matters to you.

Information ranges from how to find out about a care home, equipment to help you or a relative live safely at home through to befriending or joining an interest group to keep you active.

There will be quite a few representatives taking part and information stands from local organisations at the event between 11am and 1pm.

Benarty and Cardenden councillor, Rosemary Liewald, chair of the Partnership’s Integration Joint Board, will be saying a few words to open The Well and local MSP, Annabelle Ewing, is also expected be there on Tuesday.
