COWDENBEATH MSP Annabelle Ewing was delighted to be told of the success of a Crossgates business.
With the Scottish Parliament on summer recess Ms Ewing paid a visit to the Bucklyvie Cattery in her constituency.
Speaking following the visit, Ms Ewing said: “One of the best things about the Parliamentary summer recess is the opportunity it affords for me to get out and about around the constituency visiting a wide range of local groups, organisations and businesses.
“I was pleased to have the chance to catch up with Maureen Cuthbertson who, along with her husband Charles, set up the Bucklyvie Cattery at Fordell just outside Crossgates, about 19 years ago.
“Summer is, of course, a very busy time for the cattery with folk managing to get some time away and their pets getting a holiday too!”
Maureen combines her business commitments with being active in the community and is chair of Crossgates Community Council and is treasurer of the Community Woodlands Group.
