A YOUNG Ballingry mum and her little girl lost everything in a blaze which happened at the weekend in Cleikimin Crescent.
Bailie Connelly and her daughter Kaylin saw their clothes and virtually all of their personal items damaged in the fire.
Her aunt Carrieann set up a Just Giving page to help her niece, who currently is living with her gran in the township.
Said Carrieann, on the fundraising page: "I am raising this on behalf of my niece Bailie Connelly, and her little girl Kaylin, as they have basically just lost everything in a house fire, in Ballingry, which was of no fault of their own.
"This is just for basic bedroom items for two rooms, every little helps and the community has been outstanding with their kind donations so far."
Lochgelly undertaker John Gilfillan made a donation to the fund, which has a target of £800, and then took the appeal to Cowdenbeath Rotary Club on Thursday evening.
John told the rotarians: "I heard about this situation and felt it was something that deserved my support and young Bailie came into the funeral parlour to personally thank me for support which was a lovely heart warming touch.
"I feel it is a cause which the club could consider supporting."
The rotarians agreed and made a donation of £200.
The community support has seen a number of household house items donated to the cause and Bailie and gran Maureen are very grateful for the support. Said Maureen: "Can I say thank you to everyone who has helped my granddaughter after the house fire. The Ballingry community is full of good people with big hearts.
"Thank you everyone from the bottom of our hearts."
