A COMMITMENT of £288,000 by Fife Council's Housing Service has seen a number of projects succeed in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
Housing chief, Russel Gray, told Cowdenbeath Area Committee the Locality managed budget had seen several projects make a difference for tenants.
He said: "The key areas of spending has seen projects such as creating 10 additional parking spaces in Denfield Avenue, Cardenden, and 14 extra spaces on Greenbank Drive, Cowdenbeath; also large scale fencing work in Greenmount and Mossend Terrace, Cowdenbeath, and improvements to driveways, gardens and fencing and walkways in Inchgall Avenue, Crosshill, following demolition work.
"We are currently obtaining quotes for phase 2 on the opposite side of the street."
Mr Gray added: "In addition £83,000 of the budget has been used to support vulnerable tenants who required help to sustain their tenancy and tenants who are engaging with Housing Officers through our Tenancy Assistance Service."
