A LOCHGELLY woman had her face slapped by her ex-partner who then grabbed her around the neck.
The incident led to 20-year-old Sam Graham appearing in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Graham, of Murrayburn Gardens, Edinburgh, admitted that on June 23, at an address in Lochgelly, he assaulted his ex-partner by striking her to the face, seizing a mobile phone from her and grabbing her by the neck.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said the couple had been in a relationship for a year and had a child together but had split up in May.
He had gone to her home that night to help with the care of their child but an argument had started.
Police were called after the row escalated and the assault occurred.
Sheriff Craig McSherry fined Graham £400.
