JASON Byrne will be Wrecked but Ready at Dunfermline's Alhambra Theatre in September and we have a pair of tickets up for grabs for the show.
Jason Byrne returns with his brand-new show, Wrecked But Ready. After 23 consecutive years Jason is wrecked but he is as ever ready (which is a battery, but he’s more Duracell than Eveready).
In particular the past year has been extremely testing for the wrecked Jason, but despite all this is he’s waiting to spill it out on stage. No one show is the same, expect all the usual spontaneous fun, come along and witness ‘the outright King of live comedy’ as he has been described in the national press.
Jason is an Irish comedian and radio host. He is well known for improvisation and his typically unscripted live shows, which often involve audience participation.
In August 2008, he made his twelfth Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Jason Byrne previously presented a mid-morning radio show on Phantom FM as well as a comedy chat show The Jason Byrne Show featuring P. J. Gallagher, and a comedy panel show called The Byrne Ultimatum on RTÉ Two. He created and starred in a radio show also called The Jason Byrne Show from 2010 to 2012 on BBC Radio 2.
The second series was awarded a Gold Sony Radio Award for Best Comedy.
Jason was born in Dublin, in the suburb of Ballinteer. Byrne was married to Brenda from 2004 until 2018 and has 2 children.
The Dunfermline visit will be part of Jason's big tour of the UK in August and September.
He will be at the Edinburgh Festival from August 5 to 25 before embarking on a series of shows starting at Stockton and then seeing him in Glasgow and Dunfermline before heading for London in October and he keeps on going (wrecked or not) right through to the end of November.
We have a pair of tickets up for grabs for the show at the Alhambra on Saturday 18th September and to win them tell us where Jason Byrne was born and send your answers to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, KY5 9QQ by Wednesday August 7.
