TAKE your artefacts along to the Treasure Trove Day on Friday July 19 and meet helpful staff. The day is taking place at ONFife’s Collections Centre, Bankhead, Glenrothes.

Chance discoveries of artefacts by members of the public have the potential to make a significant contribution to the understanding of Scotland's past. The role of Treasure Trove is to ensure that finds of cultural significance are protected for the benefit of the nation and preserved in museums across the country.

If you have found an object(s) whilst farming, gardening, or through hobbies such as metal detecting, that you would like to discover more about then please take it along to ON Fife Collections Centre where the Unit staff who will be delighted to discuss your finds and answer any questions you may have about the Treasure Trove system.

Fife Cultural Trust has over 17,000 archaeological artefacts in the museum collection, during this event there will be an opportunity for a tour of the Collections Centre with a member of the collections team to discover how they care for these artefacts. Visitors will also be able to visit the new Pilgrim Way exhibition on their mobile museum MAC.
